The Firm

Built because the gap between
AI spending and AI outcomes was too wide to ignore.

$500 billion in AI investment produced zero measurable returns for 80% of organizations in 2025 (McKinsey). That's not a technology problem — it's a methodology problem. VPL was built to solve it.

Founding Rationale

The market rewards reassurance.
We chose rigor.

The AI consulting market is projected to reach $72.8 billion by 2030 (MarketsandMarkets). Yet 95% of generative AI pilots fail to deliver measurable returns (MIT / Fortune, 2025). The largest consultancies — Accenture, BCG, Deloitte — are capturing billions in AI services revenue while their clients report no EBIT impact. The market is structured to sell reassurance: long retainers, vague deliverables, activity-based billing.

Vector Process Labs was built on a different premise: if you can measure the gap, you can close it. Fixed-fee engagements. Quantified outcomes. No ambiguity in what gets delivered. The mid-market deserves a firm that deploys with the precision of an enterprise operation — without the enterprise overhead.

Founding Perspective

Twenty years of systems where failure wasn't an option. Now he builds firms around that standard.

William Hamilton built his methodology in environments where precision was non-negotiable. As a Solutions Consultant at a global medical device manufacturer — closing the largest deal in the company's 35-year history — and as Director of the PMO at a regional healthcare system, he engineered data integrations in clinical environments where a missed edge case meant patient risk. That context produced a Zero-Fail methodology that most AI consultants have never been forced to develop.

That discipline translated directly into SaaS. At a $1B+ enterprise workforce engagement platform, he drove a 134% net renewal rate by automating agent workflows and digital engagement for enterprise retail clients. At a B2B revenue automation company, he achieved 111% NRR by systematically replacing manual overhead with scalable, repeatable processes across the SMB customer base.

His technical focus today is Agentic AI deployment — building self-correcting operational systems that don't just process data, but audit and reason. VPL was founded on a specific observation: the AI consulting market rewards reassurance over rigor. Hamilton identified that as a structural gap — and built a firm to close it. The goal: give mid-market firms the operational infrastructure that Fortune 500 enterprises pay eight figures to assemble.

The Name

Every word earns its place.

Vector

Direction with magnitude. We don't just identify problems — we define outcome vectors. Where we're going, and by exactly how much.

Process

Systematic, rigorous, repeatable methodology. Every engagement follows the same three-phase framework. No improvisation. No instinct-based recommendations.

Labs

Evidence-based experimentation. Hypotheses tested. Results quantified. We don't report findings — we deploy strategies and measure outcomes.

How We Operate

Five principles.
Non-negotiable.

01

Precision is a deliverable.

Every engagement ends with numbers, not impressions. If we can't quantify it, we don't claim it. In an industry where 80% of AI investments produce no measurable EBIT impact, measurement is the first thing that separates outcomes from activity.

02

Methodology over instinct.

Every recommendation is traceable to a documented process. We don't have opinions — we have evidence. If the evidence points somewhere unexpected, we follow it.

03

Evidence before conclusion.

We don't form positions. We quantify them. No engagement begins with a predetermined answer. The outcome vector is derived from data, not assumed from pattern-matching.

04

Outcomes over outputs.

Reports are evidence, not product. Results are product. A 40-page document that doesn't move a number is overhead. We measure what changed, not what was written.

05

Fewer engagements, deeper outcomes.

We take on fewer clients than we could. We finish everything. Every active engagement receives undivided attention. Capacity is managed — not sold and apologized for.

Three phases. Documented outputs. Client-owned. No ambiguity.
